Newborn safety is taken very seriously and will be our number one concern throughout our newborn session. All of the props that we use will be used appropriately for the given situation. If the baby is awake I will never attempt  basket shots where baby is upright for example. All baskets and props that baby goes inside of are weighed down with sandbags so that baby is not in any danger of tipping over. I have parents spot for me when doing any shot that may be more intricate. Please feel free to let me know if you are uncomfortable with any given set up. There are some images that are created by merging two images together (called composites) in order to achieve a certain position and those are always done with Mom or Dad spotting the baby. I use white noise during my sessions to help keep baby sleeping. The white noise used during my sessions is NEVER loud enough to cause any damage so please don’t be worried about this.
