do you offer wardrobe guidance for family sessions?

Yes. Styling is part of the experience. I'll help you plan clothing that photographs beautiful together and feels cohesive without making everyone look overly coordinated. Studio wardrobe options are also available for mamas and little ones

The goal is to choose clothing that fels like ou while working beautifully together as a family. Once your session is booked, I'll send you my Style Guide and help guide you through colors, textures, layers, and pieces that photograph well so you don't have to figure it out all on your own

what should we wear  for our family photos?

where do family sessions take place?

Family sessions take place at my private studio either in-studio or just steps outside the studio on a hill overlooking the Columbia River. Take advantage of both in one session for a more varied gallery (weather permitting)

what if we don't know how to pose?

I recommend reaching out a few weeks to a couple months in advance, especially if you have a specific date, season, or weekend in mind. If you're hoping for fall foliage or another particualrly popular time of year, earlier planning is always best

can we include grandparents or extended family?

That is completely normal. I am here every step of the way to give prompts to help set up the scene, as well as pose you. The best images are often times the in between moments and I have a ton of experience with seeing them as they unfold. The only "experience' necessary is the role of being a parent. Come prepared with a few tricks up your sleeve to help offset any unwelcomed behaviors and let me take care of the rest

how far in advance should we book our family session

Absolutely! Extended family can be included when it's part of what you'd like to remember, but I do have a 6 person maximum (total). If you would like to include additional family members, please contact me to discuss possible options
