Sometimes all you need is a weekend unplugged in the woods to breathe that fresh big gulp of air back into your daily life. This weekend was one of those. My kids beg to go up to my sister’s cabin every summer and this weekend we were finally able to carve out enough time for all of us to be there. We spent the days either on the lake or around the cabin on dirt bikes with dirty faces, even dirtier feet and it was completely fabulous!
As a working from home mama I rarely take the time to unplug and quite honestly I hate to a bit. I know that when I do plug back in I will be spending a lot of time answering messages and getting caught up but it is 100 percent worth it. I also usually try to be 100 percent present so typically don’t being my camera for family time but I am soooooo glad I did this time. These moments need to be documented. It seems like we have blinked and all the kiddos are twice the size and three times the attitude but I wouldn’t trade it for one second.
Take the time to unplug mamas!
Hello and thank you for visiting my blog! I’m Stephanie, a family and newborn photographer in Sacramento. I live in Lincoln, California and my studio is in Roseville. I love telling the story of motherhood, movement in images, I love connection, I love golden, dappled light and the way it dances and bounces around on my subject’s skin. I love airy images as well as moody images and I continuously dip my toe in whatever moves me for the day, which, I think is so important.
I offer studio and on-site sessions. Studio sessions are available for newborns, sitters and expectant mothers. My studio offers beautiful, natural light creating special memories with an organic and airy feeling. I also offer the use of my studio wardrobe, taking the pressure off of you so that you can enjoy the experience without having to worry about shopping for your entire family. I would love to be invited to capture your family memories, I promise to help make the process fun and relaxing.
