The days are so long with a new little one. Before you know it, you are smack dab in the middle of the brand new baby phase and the baby on the move phase. These moments are over in a blink, so I always feel so incredibly connected to them as a mama.
I often have moms contact me asking when the best time is to capture babies in that first year. That’s so incredibly tough for me to answer because there’s just so much that happens in the first year that just begs to be documented. Looking through these images here reminds me all over again why I love this specific stage………hey are usually still somewhat cuddly so it’s just so, so special to capture those sweet cuddles before they are on the move.
This sweet mama has been through the roller coaster once already with her older daughter, Lily, and it was just so heartwarming to see the complete difference of phases through the lens. Lily was so sweet with her baby brother…….it quite literally melted me.
Hello and thank you for visiting my blog! I’m Stephanie, a family and newborn photographer in Sacramento. I live in Lincoln, California and my studio is in Roseville. I love telling the story of motherhood, movement in images, I love connection, I love golden, dappled light and the way it dances and bounces around on my subject’s skin. I love airy images as well as moody images and I continuously dip my toe in whatever moves me for the day, which, I think is so important.
I offer studio and on-site sessions. Studio sessions are available for newborns, sitters and expectant mothers. My studio offers beautiful, natural light creating special memories with an organic and airy feeling. I also offer the use of my studio wardrobe, taking the pressure off of you so that you can enjoy the experience without having to worry about shopping for your entire family.
