Wendi was given less than 1% odds of survival after contracting sepsis a few years ago. She was just a handful of months out from the hospital when I first met and photographed her lovely family. I have now photographed them multiple times and I’m in awe of her and Jay each time. During this recent session in Lake Tahoe I showed Wendi the back of the camera at one point so she could see what she looked like. She said, “Oh wow! I’m starting to look like myself again” and it seemed as though she lit up more than usual, as if a breeze rushed over her and awakened her soul. To hear those words and see this sweet mama as she walks this next step in her journey, I am overcome with gratitude. Helping her get back to herself in any small way makes my heart fuller than ever as a photographer.

Although my studio is located in Portland, Oregon, I offer studio, outdoor, in home and travel sessions. Studio sessions are available for newborns, sitters and expectant mothers. My studio offers beautiful, natural light creating special memories with an organic and airy feeling. I also offer the use of an incredible studio wardrobe, taking the pressure off of you so that you can enjoy the experience without having to worry about shopping for your entire family.
